Context
The Institut de la Vision is an international research center dedicated entirely to research into eye and vision diseases. It brings together researchers, doctors, patients and industry on the same site to discover innovative treatments for eye diseases and improve the quality of life of visually impaired people.
More than 300 researchers are working in the 5 research departments of the Institut de la Vision: developmental biology of the visual system, genetics, visual information processing, pathophysiology and therapeutics, photonics.
The research team
The AZ team co-led by doctors Isabelle Audo and Christina Zeitz, within the genetics department of the Institut de la Vision, is dedicated to the Identification of new genetic defects as well as the study of pathophysiological mechanisms at origin of genetic retinal pathologies.
The team uses bioinformatics and carries out functional tests using cellular and molecular biology, drawing on the expertise of collaborators and platforms at the Institut de la Vision. In addition, the group is interested to better understand high myopia in inherited retinal diseases.
Missions
The AZ team is looking to strengthen the Department of Genetics. The offer is open for any excellent junior or senior researcher.
