Valérie Fontaine, PhD in Neurobiology, Head of the Exploratory team. My team's research mainly focuses on the pathophysiology of atrophic AMD. We study the cellular processes associated with the development of this pathology and particularly for one cell type, the retinal pigment epithelium. We perform chemical or genetic in vitro screenings in order to identify drug candidates or therapeutic targets.
Our team is also in charge of private and academic partnerships aimed at achieving proof of concept of efficacy of compounds for therapeutic purposes.
