Scientific biography

Tual Monfort is a research fellow at the Vision Institute, Sorbonne University, France, working under the direction of Kate Grieve on the development of next-generation full-field optical coherence tomography imaging techniques, specially tailored for longitudinal live microscopy studies. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, in 2018, where he worked on the development and application of nonlinear label-free imaging techniques for cancer diagnosis, such as Coherent Raman Imaging, as well as the development of computer vision tools for automatic diagnosis. Since then, his research focus has been on elaborating novel label-free optical imaging for unraveling mechanisms at high resolution in retinal and corneal diseases.
