Scientific biography

I am an independent and self-motivated third year graduate student with expertise in optical design and alignment as well as in image processing and data analysis. I got a MSc degree in Photonics and Nano Optics from Politecnico di Milano in 2020. I also have a 1-year experience in a consulting company that gave me the possibility to gain competences in company management.
During my PhD, I mostly focused on the application of dynamic full field OCT (DFFOCT) to image biological samples, namely to in vitro and ex vivo studies on retinal and corneal organoids and/or explants. I have also investigated the possibility to broaden the range of applications, testing the technique on other types of animal samples and organoids. In addition, I am building a new optical setup that will join the main DFFOCT microscope to enable a simultaneous micro and macro view on the same sample.
As part of my doctoral training, I was a member of one of the teams selected for the first edition myStartup program offered by Sorbonne University.
