Scientific biography
Trained as a mathematician at the Saint-Petersburg State Collège of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Russia, I received PhD in computational neuroscience at the EPFL, Switzerland, and subsequently joined Pierre & Marie Curie university in Paris to study computational mechanisms of flexible spatial behavior in rodents. After obtaining an associate professor position at the Sorbonne University in 2013, I joined the Vision Institute, where my research focuses on the effect of aging on flexible behavior in humans using both experimental and computational modeling approaches. In 2023 I became the head of the Aging in Vision and Action team to pursue the study of healthy and pathological aging and its consequences for visual and spatial behavior.
