Rodrigo Melendez Garcia

Scientific biography

Originally from Mexico, I have a master in neurobiology, a PhD in molecular biology and a previous experience as engineer at the Institut Gustave Roussy. In 2024, I joined the Institut de la Vision at the team of Kate Grieve. Using cutting-edge approaches, such as organoids derived from induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, gene editing and in vivo imaging with dynamic full-field OCT microscopy; my work aims to unravel the mysteries of retina development in both healthy and pathological states.
