Abstract

Synapses degenerate during aging and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Our study suggests there is a common molecular mechanism that underlie these denervation events. In addition, we tested intervention methods to ameliorate these synapse degenerations and maintain function in mice and humans.
